SUMMER INTERNSHIP 2024
The Powder Magazine is currently accepting applications from undergraduate and graduate students in historic preservation, public history, and related fields of study for a paid summer internship.

The intern will work 15 hours per week for 10 weeks between late May and into early August 2024. A $2,000 stipend/scholarship from the National Society of Colonial Dames of American in the State of South Carolina will be provided at the conclusion of the internship. This opportunity includes:

• Working with a 501c3 non-profit museum dedicated to education

• Learning more about South Carolina’s 18th century history

• Assisting with tours, program development, media, & operations

• Learning more about museum operations & administration

• Working on research and archival projects
