Your Support Makes Our Educational Mission Possible
Built in 1713, the Powder Magazine Museum is our state's oldest public building and it is the only remaining structure from Charleston's walled city defenses. It was also one of Charleston's first historic sites to be preserved and shared with the public.
Each year, this colonial site connects thousands of people with the stories of those who shaped our state and nation. We do this through tours, lectures, teacher education, K-12 field trips and all sorts of special events!
Provide fun & educational tours and programming about colonial South Carolina for kids and their families!
Share great topics and speakers with our Zoom lecture series'!
Explore Great American Treasures with 2nd Cup Conversations!
